Metadata List
Each file can contain multiple metadata fields. They will appear in a list with their Name and Value, and you can update or delete them at any time.
Example
For a document such as Simpsons_Family_Tree.pdf, you could add:
- Character → Homer Simpson
- Role → Father
- Year Introduced → 1989
- Occupation → Nuclear Safety Inspector
- Catchphrase → D’oh!
You can later use metadata fields as filters in the Facet Search or Chat
Check the Facet Search or Facet Chat section.
Define metadata fields consistently across your files (e.g., always Character, not sometimes Person).
